Graduation...

So, I graduate from BYU-Idaho tomorrow. I don't really know how I feel about it yet...I mean, I guess it hasn't really hit me. I still feel like I am in the middle of school. I still feel that I am just going home for Christmas break and will have to come back to Rexburg. I am pretty sure that I will continue feeling that way for awhile. Even tomorrow as I am graduating. It will be a very long stressful day...But at the end of it I get to start my vacation...And I can't wait!! I am just wondering what else is going to go wrong before then. Last week I got really sick with a cold that's been going around...I'm talking fever, chills, hot flashes, uncontrollable coughing...Then, earlier this week, I woke up with a huge cold sore on my lip. I don't get them very often and now is the time that it decided to show up! It has started to heal...But I know that you will still be able to see it any pictures that I take. Oh well...After tomorrow I won't be online for about two weeks...I'll be at my family's cabin in Island Park. So, until then...Merry Christmas everyone!!

Sick Of It All!

I am so sick of everything in Rexburg. I am sick of studying all of the time...And not being able to do anything else. I hate always feeling stressed out because I am worried about getting an 'A' instead of a 'B' in a class or on a test. I am sick of my roommates constantly creating needless drama in our apartment. They are loud, rude, and insensitive. I have one roommate who cannot, for the life of her, understand where anyone else is coming from. She doesn't even try to understand. She thinks that everyone should think as she does. If she doesn't understand than you must be wrong. She always has to be right about everything...Even things that she is completely wrong about! I can't take the talking, the noise, the drama...Any of it. I am more than ready to be done with school, roommates, and Rexburg!

Utah Trip #2

So, today I went down to Salt Lake City with my HUM 497R class, basically it's a Senior Seminar class for the humanities. The drive from Rexburg there is about four hours long. We left at 6am, I woke up at 5am after about an hour sleep last night. We got to Salt Lake at about 10am and we went to the General conference Center, which was cool...And massively huge! We went through the whole thing and looked at all of the artwork they have there. I took lots of pictures. We were there for about an hour. The tour guide was kind of rude. She didn't want to let us stop and enjoy the art...She kept trying to rush us.

After that we went to the Church Museum, which was right across the street. Our teacher had arranged for us to be taken on a tour by a man he knew who worked there. Here comes the first mistake. The man, I don't remember his name...Let's call him "Sir Talks-A lot"...Took us off to the side and started talking about the different art techniques and what makes art unique to a certain religion or culture. For some reason he kept asking me all the questions. Some answers I knew, but some I just couldn't think of...I had no idea what answers he was looking for. After about the tenth question to me I finally said, "Why am I getting all the questions!?!"

Then he led us to a room upstairs filled with different art by LDS artists. I decided to stay in the back of the group and avoid eye contact from then on. Basically, he went to each painting and gave us a lecture about each one. We stayed in that one room, standing, for an hour. Then he took us downstairs to another sections with LDS art from different countries. Again, more lectures about each piece. At one point he told us to look closely at this pair of boots that were there...I guess we didn't get close enough because he kept pulling people towards the boots saying "look closer!!" We only got through half of this room and it took us an hour and a half. So, all together, we were standing listening to this guy talk for two and half hours straight. Most of us started to tune him and can't remember a thing he said after the first hour. My back and feet were killing me. It felt so good to sit down after that.

We went to Wendy's for lunch, our teacher paid. Then we got back in the car and drove to Springville, Utah...Which is about 45 min. to an hour away (with construction). We got there and we went to the studio of an artist. The artist's name was, I want to say, Benjamin McPherson. I'm not sure on the last name because only his first name is on his paintings. Anyways, he was the one who's painting was on the cover of Augustus Ensign. It was called, "And It Was Night." It is a very good painting. If you slowly dim the lights who can see the sky behind Christ turn from dusk into night and you see Judas fade into the background, while the faithful apostles stay lit until the last of the light is gone. It is very neat effect. He also talked about some of other work he has done; and showed us a painting that is currently working on.

He is working on more paintings of Christ and he is also working on children's book called, "Imajin" or something like that. It is about two kids that live in a black and white world and one day they see color for the first time and they decide to explore. They enter a weird world full of color and interesting creatures. Not only is Benjamin illustrating the book, but he also co-wrote it, and wrote a script for it if it ever gets turned into a film...Which someone wants to do.

Anyways, after that we went to the Springville museum, at 4pm. But at that point we were all exhausted and tired of museums, so we weren't really into it. We stayed there until 5pm, talked with the director a little bit, then got back in the vans and headed for Rexburg. We got back at 10:20pm. Long day and I'm tired! I have a lot of studying to do this weekend and I am not looking forward to it. So, I need to go to sleep now so I can wake up and get to work!

No More School Please!!

Why is it that the middle of the semester brings the most stress. It is the time when roommates get sick of each others and classes bring a huge workload in the form of homework. I have done so much homework this weekend that I think my head might explode. Combine that with a few roommates who insist on making drama a regular part of their lives and you will see what the semester has been like for me thus far.

I can't wait until this semester is over and I will officially graduate from college. I wish I could say that my school career would be over after this, but what are you going to do? Just three weeks until Thanksgiving break and then after that only three weeks until finals! Here's hoping I make it!

Moving Day!!

So, I have decided to switch apartments; I am moving downstairs to my sister's apartment. I am always there anyways...This will just make things easier. So, because of the move I don't know if I will be able to put up a larger post. Plus I have midterms next week and need to study this weekend...Add extra homework and projects on top of that and you will get a pretty clear picture of where I will be this weekend. Hope everyone else has fun this weekend!!

The Longest Week!

This week has dragged by for me! I have had so much to do that it feels like the weekend will never get here. Besides that, today just isn't the best day. I have an 8am class everyday and this morning it was extra difficult for me to get up, so I was exhausted all day. I have a project due on Friday in that same 8am class. So far it seems as though I have done most of the work for it, the girl wants to meet today a 6:30pm...But I'm like, I have already finished most of the project and I need a school break tonight. I just want her to give me whatever research she has and I will put it into the presentation. Whatever...

On top of that, I took a major exam today. I have been stressing about this exam because it has a lot of information and it weighs heavily on my grade. Plus, I was looking at the average score and so far the average score is a 58%...Yes, that's right...An F is the average score! I have been studying like crazy all week...Not knowing for sure what will be on the test. I mean, yes that is a really low average...But not everyone has taken it yet (it closes tomorrow night, then I will know for sure). I have so much to do before tomorrow that I really don't have any more time to study for it. So I decided to take it today after one of my classes. I am so mad! I got an 89.6%! You want to know what could have made it an A? The last question we are shown a painting and asked to identify it. Spelling counts. The painting was "Embarkation for Cythera," I put "Embarkation of Cythera." One word wrong and I get a B instead of an A. Granted I did get a few other questions wrong...But that is one of the only ones that I knew the answer for. I just didn't know the middle as well I thought!

Enough about the test...It just makes me angry! I still have a lot of homework. I have another presentation next week in another one of my classes. Plus, the everyday homework stuff. Yesterday night was the start of my school's spirit week. The launched it with a bunch of events and a fantastic fireworks show! It was so cool! It makes me miss living next to Knott's, where there were fireworks all the time!

In other news, my old roommate had her baby last week, or so. It was a boy and was her second child. Congratulations to her! Another one of my roommates went to Disneyland on a three day pass this week with her husband for a family reunion. Must be rough, miss school and leave Rexburg to go to Disneyland. I can't wait until this semester is over! No more school! I guess that's it for mow. Take care everyone!

Blah!

I'm tired, I'm sick, and I don't feel like posting. I hope this week goes by quickly. On another note, I order some stuff online almost two weeks ago and it still has not come...I am starting to get worried...I hope it gets here this week! That's about all my news for now. I have a paper due this week and a bunch of school stuff to get done...Other than that, not much to tell. Have a good week everyone!

Time goes by, so slowly...

So, I know it's been a little while since my last post...I was planning on updating every week. But things come up and I never seem to find the right time. I am planning a huge post in a few weeks complete with pictures and everything. I made a trip down to Salt Lake City and visited the Krishna Hindu Temple, the Holy Trinity Greek orthodox Cathedral, and the Cathedral of the Madeleine (which is Roman Catholic). I will elaborate more on that trip as soon as I have the pictures developed. I would have them sooner but I left my digital camera back in CA and had to use disposable cameras.

In other news, the roommate situation is interesting to say the least. There is a very different vibe in the apartment now. Four of my roommates have lived together, or have known each other, for a long time. Amy and I share a room, which is good because I lived with her before; but I really don't like being in my apartment. I have to nothing to say to my roommates. We just don't really click. It's like we have nothing in common. I spend most of my time downstairs at my sister's apartment. I get along with her roommates great! She is living with a wonderful group of girls.

School is going well, if not slowly. Classes are hard at times, but I think I will be okay. Everything seems pretty much on track for my graduation this December. I can't wait! Reflecting back over the last few semesters up here, I have come to realize that the first few weeks of the semester are always the longest. The semester seems to drag on until, like, November. Then it seems as though time is flying by. I hope that it starts to feel that way soon. I am very much over the whole school thing. My poor sister has a lot more of it! I hope she likes it up here enough to continue. I am pretty sure that she will. I guess that is pretty much it for now; not much exciting happening. I will probably have a few more posts before I put the Utah trip pictures up. Until then, take care everyone!

I'm back again...

Okay, I am now back at school...And as promised I will be trying to keep up with the whole blog thing a little better. I just got here yesterday, after having spent two weeks at a cabin in Island Park with my family. I am so beat...It's been a long couple of days. I don't know if I have ever felt this tired. Of course, I am sure I will be saying that later this week as I try to get up for my 8am class everyday. I get tired just thinking about it. I have now met all of my roommates, actually Amy (who I have lived with before) is not coming until tomorrow at noon. The new roommates seem nice, but they all know each other and are like best friends or something...So right now I feel like a little bit of an outsider, I hope that will change when Amy gets here and I know at least one person.

So far I have spent more time in my sister's apartment, where I know more people, then I have in my own. That's okay though...I want to focus on school this semester...And this group of girls seem like the type that are constantly on the move...So it will be nice to have quiet time to study. Between the five of us that are here so far, we all managed to miss seeing each other at all until last night when we all came home. My sister and I, and one her roommates, went and saw "Lady in the Water" and a cheap theater they have here. It is my second time seeing it, think it is a really good movie...The trailers were really deceiving with what it was going to be like.

It is weird in this apartment now...Every other time that I have lived here Audra and Melissa have lived here too...It's kind of strange without them here. School hasn't even started yet and I can't wait for it to be over...Actually, I kind of want school to start just so I can start getting my routine down and start doing homework instead of doing mindless surfing on the internet. Plus, once school actually starts I will have more to do. Okay, I guess that's it for now. Some time later this week I will post about my vacation...But not now. I am still tired and I am getting a headache from looking at the screen. I'll post again soon!

small news...

I know I have been really bad about posting on this page over the summer...But here's some good news...I am heading back up to school so I will begin to start posting more regularly once it begins.

Work and such...

Okay, bad me...It's been almost a month since my last post. And that last one was pretty small. Things are less stressful when I am at home and I don't find as much to write about. I work at Juice It Up now. Now that summer has started it seems as though everyone is always coming into the store. That can be a little stressful. A few days ago something happened that made me so mad that I feel like I should share it on my blog. It was about two and half hours into my shift when these three teenagers came in. They were driving so either they were driving without licenses or they just barely got their licenses. They acted like freshmen. There were two boys and a girl. The girl went to Golden Spoon and the boys came into JIU. From the moment they walked in they were acting immature. They were using rude language and talking about dirty things. They changed the names of some of our drinks to make them sound dirty. Next they continued to say rude things while we were making the smoothies.

Next, one of the boys went up to me and said that he had a two for one coupon in the car and that I had to honor it even if he didn't have it with him because the customer is always right. Well, that's not the way things work at JIU and I told him that I would need the coupon if he wanted a discount. It just so happens that my sister was working with me and she is a shift leader there. The kid who did the whole coupon thing went to her next and said, "Are you the manager? Tell that b***h to give me a discount!" She replied, "Actually she's my sister and she's right, you don't get the discount without the coupon." We hurried and finished their drinks and then, as they were leaving, the kid with the coupon tried to steal money out of our tips jar. I looked right at him and said, "Not funny, put it back now." I was so pissed! The girl had come back in by this time, and as they were leaving she said, "I apologize for whatever they said." Then they left. So there's my exciting work story for the week.

In other news, I saw X3 the other day, generally I liked it. Although there were a few issues I had. Such as having too much Storm and not enough Rogue. There were also a few deaths that made me mad. That's it for now, I got to get ready for another day of work.

Update from Cali...

So I started my new job at Juice It Up last Monday. It's more complicated then you might think. The part where I make the smoothies is not so bad. There are sheets all over the store that tell you what to put it them...But I am supposed to memorize them and that might take a while. Most of the time I will be closing and have to remember which machines to clean and how to take them apart and how to put them back together. I also will have to practice with the cash register a little more before I am really comfortable ringing up sales. This is going to be a pretty short post, as there is not much to report. Things are going well...It's a rather expensive time of year with birthdays, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. Plus I want to do a lot of fun stuff this summer...I need to get it all in now because when I go back to Rexburg in the Fall I will be bored out of my mind again. Oh well, that's it for now. Take care everyone!

Wicked

I have decided that I really want to "Wicked." We talked a little bit about it in my American Humanities class, and I think it looks awesome! I also love the music! Now if I could just figure out a way to go see it. Tickets are way expensive too. There are performances at the Orange County and the San Diego Civic Centers, and the tickets are about a hundred bucks a piece, and higher. Oh well, I might have to wait for a while, but one day I'm going to see it!

This was another homework week for me, so there's not much to post. We had Audra's bridal shower on Wednesday, it went really well! She got lots of good stuff, and the food was awesome (of course I made all of the food so I am a little biased). We watched her wedding video, which I have seen before but it was still really good! We played traditional wedding games, and there were prizes...I actually won one of them! Overall, I would say it was a big success!

Also on Wednesday, I took my final for this history class that I am taking online. The grades are based on two areas a workbook, which is 25% of my grade, and the final, which is 75% of my grade. The workbook is pass or fail, no in between. So you can why I was a little nervous about how I was going to do in the class. I studied all week, non-stop, for the final (I had finished the workbook over spring break). The final was one hundred questions. I got every single one right, a 100%! I have never gotten a perfect score on a final exam before! The class average was only an 81%. If our teacher had graded on a curve I would have totally thrown it off! I am very curious to know if anyone else got the same grade that I did. If you cannot tell I am extremely happy about this grade!

On Thursday I had my group presentation. I was covering American Architecture since 1945...There is a lot of it! There were three people in my group, and I was the last to go. We had a set amount of time that we were supposed to present in, but we ended up going way over. The first girl did okay, she may have a been a little over...But not much if any. The second girl was the problem. She went WAY over! I'm talking like at least 20 minutes. My part of the presentation was the longest so I had the rush through it...We were still over by a ton. I hope that doesn't count too much against us! That's about all I did this week, other than going to classes, I mostly did a lot of homework. I managed to finish my Islam final and turn that in. I also watched "Top Gun" for the first time yesterday, it was good...But I probably won't watch it again.

This week is going to be very stressful for me. Monday I have only one class, which I am so happy about! I have to turn in a poetry book that I have been working on and a project that I finished yesterday. On Tuesday it is our "reading day" so that we can prepare for our exams. I plan on selling back my books that day, if can get there early enough maybe the lines won't be so bad. Then I am going to study for the only final I haven't finished yet, my American Humanities final. I love the fact that I managed to finish everything that I needed to get done for finals week, including doing some of my finals, a week early. Now I just have to focus on that one test!

On Wednesday I have a Power Fair for my religion class. This is going to be our final in a way. We basically show up to class and talk about what we've learned, turn in a report about the projects that we did, and basically hang out. Later that day, not until 6pm actually, I will take my American Humanities final in the testing center. Last semester I waited in a three hour line to take my finals in the testing center...They say it won't be like that this time...But we'll see. I get to go into a priority line if I go during a set time. I think that I might go over there early and see how long the lines are...If they aren't long then I will just go and get me test over with. After that I am done! All I have to do is start packing up my stuff and cleaning my apartment. I fly out of Salt Lake on Friday! Then I start my summer. I already have a job lined up and everything! This will be my last post of the semester...I will post again next Sunday when I am back in California! Take care everyone!

Revelations

Sometimes life doesn't turn out the way that you expect it to. You look back on friends that you thought you once knew, and you find that never really knew them at all. Or maybe they just changed...I don't know...It's been a day of revelation for me. Not necessarily in a good way either. Believe me when I say, that whoever is reading this post...My revelation was not about you. It was about someone who isn't on my friends list yet, but I should probably add them...Seeing how they are changing so quickly. By the time I catch up with them again they will probably be unrecognizable. It sounds like I'm rambling...I don't make any sense...That doesn't matter...I know what I am talking about. I just needed to write some things down.

I applied for graduation this week. Everything is on track for a December graduation. Although, it turns out that my advisor forgot to turn in some paperwork regarding my minor...And they don't have any record of me having one. So, I had to go fix that stressful problem this week. Everything is still on track though, and that is all that matters. I also found out that one of the required classes I have to take in the Fall is a one block class at 8am. It was a 10am , but for some reason the teacher decided to change it. Man, I was looking forward to a low stress semester for my final semester at BYU-Idaho. Oh well, what can you do?

This week was another slow one. I went to Idaho Falls with Audra to pick up her ring...It was being cleaned. This week we are having her bridal shower. If anyone has any gift ideas...Post them please! I also need ideas for party favors to give the guests. Any help would be appreciated. This week will be a little stressful for me. It is the last week of classes before finals. So teachers will be trying to get in as much information as possible. On Wednesday I am going to take one of my finals...So I have to study a lot before then. We are also holding the shower on Wednesday. On Thursday I have a group presentation in my American Humanities class. Plus I have an essay that I need to do before the end of the semester as well. Plus, there is the whole ordeal of packing up my stuff, doing my white-glove, shipping stuff home, and catching my ride to the airport. Throw in finals too, and you have my life for the next two weeks.

Time for me to get serious again. I have been thinking a lot about what I am going to do after graduation. I mean, right now the plan is that I will earn some money and then get my teaching credentials. After I graduate I have to enter the real world. I am going to need a job with good benefits and insurance. I am going to have to start worrying about things like that. I will be on a deadline on when I need to grow up and get my own place. I can't live at home forever. I don't know how long it will take me to earn enough money though. Ideally, I will get married in the near future and some of that stuff won't be so up in the air...But I'm not counting on that happening any time soon so...Yeah. I am also worried about what it will be like when I go home for good. My best friend, Bethany, is moving on with her life (I still love ya, but it's true). I can see her falling for guys, making new friends...And I guess I am starting to see that I won't fit into her life the same way that I used to. In spite of that, I still expect to be the maid-of-honor when she finally ties the knot (that was to you Beth ;)...) I have been away for so long that I don't know what to expect when I go back. I feel sort of lost. I guess I will have to see how this summer goes...Maybe then I will know where I stand with the rest of my life. I hope you are all doing well...I'm not depressed or anything...I'm just having a moment. Stay happy and be safe!

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.

Now that I only have about three weeks left in the semester I find myself having a lot of work to do, but no motivation to get it done right away. I am so tired of doing homework all of the time! I wish I could say that I was going to have a break from it this summer, but I have to take an online class or two so that I don't have to overload on credits during my last semester. I am just waiting to register and then I will be set. I can't register until the last day because I am not registered to attend school in the summer...I hope I get the classes that I need. This week was slightly busier than previous weeks...Therefore, I have a little but more to post this time.

Monday was a great day. The weather was perfect! It felt like summer (finally!). It is interesting to watch how people react to warm days up in Rexburg. Monday is FHE night so, basically, everyone in my apartment complex went outside with their FHE groups. No one wanted to be inside. There were barbecues, people going to the park...Anything they could think of that involved the outdoors. Then there was our apartment. Seven o'clock came a went and none of our FHE brothers showed up. Usually they call us about FHE, but not this time. We called their apartment but no one answered. We waited about a half an hour and then went to Arctic Circle. It was fun. Then we came home and did homework...Not so fun. I have only talked to one of the guys, Scottie, about what happened on Monday. I think that he was the only one with a legitimate excuse. He got engaged and went down to meet his fiance's parents. As for the other guys...I guess we will find out tomorrow!

On Wednesday I had a phone interview for an internship that I had applied for. Can I just start by saying that I hate phone interviews? They are impersonal, and I never know what to say because I can't read the other person as well...Plus I was interviewing with two people at once. Fun. The interview went well. One of the ladies told me that she would send me an email with their decision by the end of the week. Which they did. I got the internship. Here is where I am conflicted. When I applied for this internship I was still a biology major, and it was a requirement for that major. When I switched my major I was no longer required to do an internship. The internship is at the Santa Anna Zoo. I would basically be shadowing a zoo keeper there. Which sounds like a blast, and something that would be right up my ally! Plus I would get to actually work with the animals. Problem...The internship is 40 hours a week, for ten weeks, is not paid, and is a bit of a drive. When I needed the internship I was going to get up around 5am and carpool with my Dad and then come back home around 5pm or so. I would get two days off a week. But Saturday and Sunday. Sunday maybe...But with Monday or something. I wouldn't be able to carpool on the weekends. The internship is not paid...That is the real problem. I need a paying job this summer...I mean, only if I want to be able to eat during the Fall. So now I am at a crossroads of sorts...I have no idea what to do...But I need to tell them my decision this week! Grrr....

On Thursday I went down to Provo, Utah. I went with my American humanities class. We had to leave at 6:15am. Yuck. So I woke up around 5:30am and got ready. At 6am I opened the front door to leave and discovered that there was a snowstorm. So I had to walk up to campus in a snowstorm early in the morning when I wasn't quite awake yet. I got up there and got in one of the vans. We sat around for awhile waiting for everyone to show up. It was a cozy little trip...The vans were not very comfortable. We all fell asleep pretty quickly. I woke up a few times, but got back to sleep again. It snowed the whole way to Provo. As we got further south the snow turned into a slushy snow-rain type of thing. It was coming down hard too. A couple times we ended up driving 25 MPH and could barely see outside.

Earlier in the week our instructor had told us that it was Spring in Provo and they had 60 degree weather. Yeah right. It was pouring rain when we got there. I mean, it looked like movie rain or something. It was coming down so hard. We finally got to the museum. We had arrived late so we had less time to look at things...We had originally planned on three hours in the museum. It didn't take us very long to go through the whole exhibit. Me and my friend Shawna even managed to find our way across the BYU campus (where the museum is located) and find the building that had the food court in it. That campus is huge! We got lost so many times. We ate some lunch and then went back to the museum. We got back in the vans and picked up some pizza for our trip back. It was still raining. It stopped raining once we got back into Idaho and then it was snowing again. In Rexburg, however, the snow had stopped around 4pm. So it was a little nicer than when we left. We got back around 6:45pm. I was so tired. So I just have to write a paper about what I saw at the museum.

On Friday my roommates and I, being sick of Rexburg, decided to go to Idaho Falls. My other roommate Mels works down there and usually stays with her Mom when she has to work the next day. We met her and a few of her friends. We went to this really good Chinese food place. The food was really good! But I will not recommend this restaurant for one reason. There are a couple of the cooks, male cooks, that stand up by the cash register and stare at you. They stared at us from the second we walked in until the second we left. It was really creepy. None of us wanted to go up and pay because the guys were right there. After that we went back to our apartment. Audra and I went to work on homework and stuff, and our other roommates started a movie.

On Saturday we did not do much. It was sort of a lazy day. Audra went to a couple stores and I picked up something to make for dinner, because Saturday is my dinner day. Later in the day we thought about renting "Silence of the Lambs" from Clean Flicks...Because a couple of our roommates had not seen it. But it was checked out already, so that was the end of that. Instead we went and got dipped cones from Dairy Queen and came home and hung out. I have a slight cold so I have been sort of tired lately. So I was glad that Saturday was not too eventful. In other news...I have no idea where my MP3 player is...It has to be somewhere in my room! That's it for now. What news will my next post bring? You'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, take care everyone!

TAG! You're It!

I got tagged by Elizabeth so I guess I'd better respond...who knows what will happen if I don't. ;)

Here are the rules.

Once you've been tagged you have to write a blog (or bulletin) with 8 weird things/habits about yourself. Then you need to pick 8 other people to tag and list their names. You need to leave a comment saying "You've been tagged" in their comments and tell them to read your blog (or bulletin). Let me know when you've posted as well.

1.) In high school I used to watch "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." Buffy was also my nickname in high school...do you see a connection?

2.) I don't know if this is weird or not, but it is a habit...I am a passive-agressive person. When something, or someone, is bothering me I pretend to ignore it, and my feelings, and let everything bottle up inside. I haven't exploded at anyone yet, but it is only a matter or time.

3.) I am constantly second guessing myself. It takes me forever to make a decision, and when I finally do I worry that it was not the right one.

4.) I generally having problems sleeping...but when I am stressed about something it is a guarantee that I won't sleep.

5.) I am very much a night person...although I can still function during the day...I am my most hyper at night!

6.) I hate shopping...when I do shop it doesn't take me very long. Most of the things I buy are either impulse buys or things that I have put a lot of thought into. Most of the time I talk myself out of buying things that I want.

7.) I am mostly a pretty organized person...but there are days when everything gets out of control and I forget where everything is! When I am looking for something I tear my room apart trying to find it, and then I usually end up finding it in the most obvious place.

8.) I move around a lot when I sleep. I cannot stay in the same position for more then five minuets. God help whoever I end up getting married to!

Let's see who shall I tag...Danielle, Bethany, Katherine, Mom, Dad, Michael, Carrie Marie, and Audra (on the off chance that she reads this!)

The Count Down Begins!

I decided to post today rather than tomorrow because I have so much homework to do that I will never get around to it tomorrow. Plus, I needed a study break. This week was Spring Break here at BYU-I. We got a whopping two days off! I did not do much this week. The school week was short and classes went by quickly. Naturally, my teachers took this opportunity to assign more homework for us to work on over the break. Gee, thanks. So, other than having a lot of homework, and a test due next week, there is not a lot to report school wise. I am going to Utah on Thursday. I am going to a museum for my American Humanities class. Other than that school is pretty dull. On a positive note...I only have four weeks left until I get to go home for the summer. I am thinking of it as three weeks, because I don't want to count finals week. During this time I need to catch up on all my homework, take a lot of tests, do a group presentation, pack, ship my stuff home, sell my books back, survive finals, and travel for a long time.

Of course, the traveling won't be that bad because my roommate and I are going together. We are going to take the shuttle down to Salt Lake. She is also flying Delta, and she is leaving at the same time I am, so we get to spend that together. It is good because I probably won't see her again after this semester. She is also going home for the summer and then she is going to Austria in the Fall. She will back for the winter semester, but I won't because I graduate in December. Traveling together will make the trip down go by a lot faster. I am usually by myself and it seems to take forever. We both have DVD players, so when we aren't talking we will probably be watching movies or "Friends" or something like that. I can't until this semester is over!

In other news, I saw "The Chronicles of Narnia" again this weekend. This will have been my third time seeing it. Although the last two times were within a week of each other. I went because my other roommate had only seen it once and wanted to see it again. I am excited because it comes out on DVD on Tuesday. *That's a big hint there Mom and Dad...Maybe you should consider purchasing it* My roommates and I were going to go bowling this week but we all had too much homework...Maybe we will go before the end of the semester.

I am excited to go home...Although I am not excited about looking for a job. The hardest part about having a job is getting it. I am hoping that I can find one fairly quickly. I have a thousand things that I want to do this summer that I didn't get to do when I was home for Christmas break. It is going to be weird when I come up here for my last semester. Keri will be in Austria, Kristen will be at home in California, Mels will be in Utah, Audra will be married...It will just be me and Amy and a bunch of girls I have never met before. With any luck my sister will be up here as well. The school is taking there sweet time with letting people know their acceptance status.

I guess I should get back to my homework. There isn't really anything interesting to report...Hopefully I will have something better for my next post. Take care everyone!

Boring Week...

There is not much to report this week. I only have five weeks until this semester ends and I cannot wait! Although I do have to say that I have a TON of work to do that I have only partially started. This next week is spring break for BYU-I so it should fly by. We have classes Monday through Wednesday and then get the rest of the week off. It's a short break but at least it is longer than last year's. Last year our spring break consisted of getting a Friday off. I don't really have any plans for this weekend...But I am hoping to finish a huge chunk of my homework so I don't have to worry about it later. Wish me luck!

As far as this week went...I did the class thing and the test thing. My back has been killing me all week. It has been so bad that I have had more trouble sleeping than usual. Granted, getting to sleep has always been a problem for me...But it seems worse when you can't sleep and you are in pain. I finally broke down and bought some pain killers. Hopefully they help. So tonight my roommates and I went and saw "The Chronicles of Narnia." I have seen it before, only once I think, and while I remember that I liked it...I didn't remember how much I liked it. This film was robbed of a special effects Oscar. I am sure King Kong is great and all...But this movie was made incredibly well. That's about it for this week...Next week's post will probably be short. Have a great week everyone!

Only Six Weeks Left!!!

Let's see...What did I do this week? Well, I got to talk to three of my friends from high school the other day. We all happened to be on IM at the same time (what are the odds?)! It was cool to catch up and see what people have been up to. Although I read Liz's blog, and talk to her now and then, so I have a general idea of how she is doing. I have not heard from Mike since graduation, and I haven't talked to Dana since 2002. So, it was nice to catch up on their lives...I still don't have one.

On Thursday I went to Idaho Falls with Audra for her dress fitting...It took about 15 minutes and then we went to a couple fabric stores (She's in a sewing class). We got a nice snowstorm the other day that took away all our pretty green plants. Then that melted and then we got another one, but the snow didn't stick. I basically just went to class this week. Not much exciting happened.

Although I did manage to get into a car accident on Saturday. Two of my roommates and I went to the store and then as we were leaving we started to go through this intersection. Our light was green and we were going straight. Across from us these two guys were in the turning lane. They also had a green light, but they had a sign that told them to yield when making a left-hand turn. The first guy hurried to turn before we got into the intersection. The second guy tried to do the same thing but he didn't have enough time. We nailed him. We got him right in the passenger side of his car. I doubt he can even get that door open anymore. My roommates car (she was driving) faired much better. It just looks like a really bad scratch on her front bumper. With as hard as we hit, it should have been worse. The guy admitted it was his fault and he exchanged info with Kristen. We were all fine, just a little shaken. Actually, I think we all handled in very well. When we hit Audra screamed a little and Kristen swore...I'm not sure what I did, I think I just held on for dear life. We were all wearing our seatbelts, so that was good.

It was kind of weird when it happened. It was like happening in slow motion. I knew that we were going to hit the guy long before it happened, and I sort of just watched it happen. Kristen didn't have time to do anything...She braked as hard as she could...The whole thing could have been a lot worse. So, that was my week in a nutshell.

For the Love!

So it decided to snow again today. I am so not happy. I thought we were reaching the end of the horrible weather here but nooooo! It had to get cold, windy, and snowy. It was practically a white out. It is supposed to snow again tomorrow! Grrrrr!!!! Here are some quizzes:

Another Month Down...

February finally ended...Now to make it through March. I think that this is going to be the longest month by far. It has 31 days and no breaks. Actually that's not entirely true...Our spring break is the last two days of March, but I'm not going anywhere so it will probably be boring. I don't have a ton of news to report this week.

Keri's friends Shiabon (pronounced Shove-on)is staying with us for nine days. Her and Keri have been friends since they were eleven (they are both from Kansas). Shiabon is going to be baptized next week. When Keri heard the news she started crying. We are all very happy for both of them. Shiabon is great. I really like her. She is very funny, serious, deep, and friendly. She has investigated a half a dozen different religions and she says she feels like her questions were answered when she started investigating our religion. She has got some very in-depth questions. We try to answer them the best that we can, but we are also taking her to all of our religion courses next week so she can ask the teachers as well.

Audra and Richard took their engagement pictures this morning. They turned out really well. Although Audra won't tell you that. She's too critical. They are very cute. We haven't done much this week. Just classes and stuff like that. If I remember anything interesting that we did I will post again soon. Take care everyone!

Hang Up the Stupid Phone Already!!!

It occurs to me now that I forgot to tell everyone about a movie that I saw a few weeks ago. I don't know how I forgot...It was a very memorable experience. So, is everyone ready to hear about the most spectacular display of cinematography ever created?!?! I hope not, because that is not what I got, so it's not what you are going to get either.

My roommate Mels and I decided to go and see "When a Stranger Calls." We had seen some previews and it looked like it was a good movie...Boy were we wrong! From start to finish, that had to be the worst movie EVER!! Bethany, this may even beat out "The Man Who Knew Too Little" for the title! The whole film was filled with "scary music" even when nothing suspensful was happening. Oooh, the girl is running laps at her high school...Scary! ;) There was very little character development, I didn't feel like I could relate to anyone in the movie at all.

We quickly learn that the main character has to skip her high school party and babysit because she went over the minutes on her cell phone. She gets to the house. It is huge, has a ton of weird artwork (one statue in particular made me mad, because they didn't end up breaking it...Even though they showed it a half a dozen times!), there were also these weird lights that didn't turn on until someone entered the room. So the girl gets there, the parents leave, the girl discovers that she can't watch TV because the remote control is too complicated for her, then she proceeds to go to the parent's bedroom. Up until this point I am still in shock because this girl, wonderful babysitter that she is, has not even bothered to go and see the children yet! I mean the mother did say that they were sleeping, but when I babysat the first thing I do is go and see the kids! But no!! This girl decides to go to the parent's bedroom and try on all of the mother's jewelry and clothing!

All through this the "scary music" is playing. Finally, the phone starts ringing. It took them long enough to get to that point!! Yet now, looking back, I almost wish that the stupid phone had never started ringing. For the first few rings it was okay...Just some guy saying things like "have you checked the children"...Which makes her go and check on them. Then the phone calls get annoying...They never stop! Usually the gut doesn't even say anything...He just breaths.

Without ruining the pointless ending for you I will just sum it up. Too many phone calls, no character development, dumb subplots, a couple people die, the phone is still ringing, she calls the cops, they trace the call, oh no the call is coming from inside the house, where did that stupid housekeeper go?, check the children again, they are not there, find them in some sort of toy chest, finally see the bad guy (good, at least that means he is not going to call anymore!), running, running with kids, hide kids hide, ewwww she's wet and surrounded by fish!, yeah! We trapped him, run kids run, oh no! I see birds! That means he got out, kids go outside...blah, blah, blah...I won't ruin the ending for you. But the only good thing that came of this film was the world's longest run-on sentence that I managed to create!

In other news, I have a couple tests I need to be studying for. I am going to Salt Lake in April. I can't wait for the semester to be over. I hope I can find a good job when I get home! Oh, and my old high school swim Coach passed away on Wednesday. I just found out yesterday. His name was Coach Doug Fair, and I hope his family is coping alright. R.I.P. That's all for now. I hope everyone has a great week! As for the rating I was going to give the movie I saw, I don't even think it's worth rating.

The Journey Continues...

For those of you who have not heard, I have switched my major from Biology to University Studies. This is the equivalent of a Liberal Arts major. The next step in my plan is to graduate from here and then go down to California to get my teaching credentials. I am hoping to teach the forth grade and there are number of programs available to help me accomplish this. So, as of now, it looks like I will be graduating some time in December. Now that the end is in sight I am starting to feel hopeful that I will not suffer death by school.

There is not much to report this week. Keri, Kristen, and I went with our FHE brother, Blake, to see "Harry Potter 4" in the cheap seats. It was good, as it was the last time that I saw it, and I was once again disappointed over how much they ended up cutting out. Oh well, can't change it now. I can't remember what else I was going to say in this post, so until I remember it here is another quiz!

Aaron and DeAndra

My old roommate, DeAndra, and my old FHE brother, Aaron, got married last August. This weekend they came to visit us. It was so great to see them. We have felt like there was someone missing from our apartment and it turns out it was her. They showed up at about 10:30 on Friday night. We hung out for awhile and then we went to their apartment and hung out some more. On Saturday we went to Primos in IF. Primos is this pizza and salad bar buffet. It is very cool. Then we came home and watched "Just Like Heaven." We hung out with them some more today. We wanted them to stay longer but it is a four hour drive to Salt Lake and they both have work and school in the morning. It was so good to see them again! We will probably find a time to go down there and see them before the semester ends.

Last night, after DeAndra and Aaron left, we hung out around our apartment. We were going to make a music video but we soon changed our minds and ending up reading parts of "Dating for Dummies." While we were doing that I hit my elbow on a closet door and now it hurts sooo bad. I hit it hard! The pain traveled up my arm and into my shoulder and upper back. Seriously, I am so uncomfortable right now. Anyways, after that my roommates went online and played this video, which is so funny! I think I'll put it on here for all to see! Sorry, the graphics are a little bad in this version...But it does get the point across.

Funny right? Anyways...To end the weekend my roommates spent forever picking out baby names for children that they don't have yet. That's about it. Have a good week everyone!

Super Bowl Sunday!

Tomorrow my roommates and I are going to a Super Bowl party at our old FHE brother's new apartment. So of you my remember that we had a Super Bowl party at our apartment last year and Audra ended up getting a black eye...Good times. We are bringing lots of food and I doubt we will watch much of the game. We just want to see the commercials! I am going to say that I hope the Seahawks are going to win; mostly because I don't know the name of the other team. This week was stressful for because of school and things like that. I was supposed to have two tests this week but they both got pushed back; thank goodness!

I am off to a bad start with my tutor. I was supposed to have my first appointment the Thursday before last but she canceled. Then this last Thursday she called and canceled again. We are meeting on Monday to make up for it, and I will still have my appointment this Thursday as well, but it does not give me much faith in her. I hope she can explain things REALLY well. I am glad January is over...It was really dragging there for awhile. Plus, February is a short month so hopefully it will fly by. I was feeling kind of depressed and overwhelmed this week so I got my nails done...I got French tips. I got them done at the beauty school here. Overall, I like them. They are not allowed to use the drill files there so everything has to be hand-filed. Which is nice because it does not damage your nails as much. Although I think the nails don't last as long that way. Oh, well...They are still okay, and they are a lot cheaper then if I had gotten them done at a salon.

That's pretty much all there is for now. As always, I hope everyone is doing well. Oh, and congratulations to Elizabeth who recently got a promotion at work! I think I'll put a quiz at the end of this post!

Your Nail Polish Color is Pink

How you're unique: You're girly without being high maintenance

Why your style rocks: You're the perfect blend of stylish, preppy, and cute

What this color says about you: "I am secure enough not to follow every trend"

And then there was...Nothing.

So I haven't been posting for a couple of reasons. The first being that the internet in my apartment keeps going down. The second reason is that I haven't had time; and the third reason is that there isn't anything to write about. It has been all homework, class, and snow here in Rexburg. Tonight we are having FHE for the first time this semester. We have not met all of the guys yet, so here's hoping that they are good!

My genetics and chem classes are both really hard. I had a review test that I had to do over the weekend and it took my forever! And that was open book!! That's really all there is to say right now. My roommate Audra is almost engaged. Her boyfriend has the ring, they just have to find a time to get together. She is here and he is in Rexburg. My other roommate, Melissa, was hoping to get into this social work program at a University in Utah, but she didn't get in. So she's going to go down there and work for a while and then re-apply. The semester is still going by slowly and yet I am just as stressed. I hope it starts to go by faster!

Once More With Feeling...

So it has been a month since I last posted...Oh well. I just didn't feel like writing anything. I had finals...That I stood in line for three hours to take. I went home...Which was fun and way too short. My best friend decided to be sick the entire break with kidney stones and things like that. Christmas went well. No major disasters and I got good stuff. I didn't want to come back up here at all. I started counting down until the end of the semester even before I got here. Classes have started. One of them is really early and it is said to be really difficult. I have been looking over my grad report and I think I could graduate a semester earlier if I switched my major to university Studies with a minor in Biology and humanities. Although I have no idea what I could do with that kind of major. Any ideas? That's about it for now. School has started, I don't want to be here, and I am not really happy. Such is life.
